The Wash Table

Terms

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

General information only

Everything on this site is general educational information about grooming a dog at home. It is not veterinary advice, not professional grooming advice for a specific dog, and not a substitute for a groomer, a vet, or hands-on training. Decisions about a specific dog, including whether a sign needs a vet, belong to the dog's owner with a vet or groomer who can see the dog.

Accuracy

Lessons are written carefully and dated, but grooming tools, products, and guidance change. Check current guidance and product instructions before acting, and follow the stop-and-refer instructions in the lessons. The site is not liable for harm caused by acting on general information without the checks the lessons describe.

Use of content

You may read, link to, and quote short passages with credit. Do not republish whole lessons, and do not present this site's content as your own work or as professional advice.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The updated date below will change when they do. Last updated: 29 October 2026.
